K, sorry to bother peoples but I have a question. I just did a chibi team general fanart but I have no idea where to post it and I didn't want to post it here because I don't know whether posting a general fluff piece would bother people or not.

Whether non-slash art or fic are accepted here would be up to the mods, of course. But if you're interested in an art comm, surely there's one for SG1 or for all of the SG-verse on LJ, too? I would think, anyway.

Not on dreamwidth as far as I can tell, and even there not so much for fanart. So since the last post of my art went well I thought I'd ask. This art bunny ate my brain for the last week and a half now I worry it may be homeless...lol

That is totally adorable! But, yeah, not slash, so not really right for this comm. But but! Here's what you can do:

You have the art posted in your Dreamwidth journal, so post a link that entry at sg1_missionreport. That's an announcement community for SG-1 fanworks, including every kind of art. Your piece does have a home, right on your journal! What you need is a place to let people know about it, and that's exactly what sg1_missionreport is for.

I'll poke around and see if I can come up with other comm suggestions, and hopefully someone else will see your post and know exactly the place. But please do announce it over at Mission Report!

Oh yay, I saw that you announced at Mission Report! No trouble at all, very glad to be helpful, and looking forward to slashy things, always. :-)

I'm still coming up empty on comms where you can post gen Stargate art, but I'll keep looking around. I was thinking heliopolis might be good, but it looks kind of fic-oriented and I can't tell if art is OK there. You could private-message the admin and ask.

Lol yeah its a bit funny for me since this is my first and only scifi fandom so far. Until sg-1 I'd been into various anime fandoms its been kind of refreshing. There seems to be a lot of room still open for traditional fanart in this fandom from what I observed at least in the traditional kind of fanart like drawing and stuff. (At least compared to my old anime fandom which had tons of fanartists.) This made me nervous at first though cause I guess I didn't know how people would feel about it. (Hope I didn't say anything wrong....I suck at these kind of things lately lol.)

Next pieces are going to be slash-tastic, and I am having way too much fun drawing patterns on boxers lol.

I feel as though I used to see more hand-drawn and painted art in Stargate fandom, but I haven't seen much for a long time, especially in SG-1. I'm so glad you're doing it.
